With the aid of the Book of Wisdom that is Tarot, I can help you see which of your constraints originate in your own mind, and how you can cast them off. This is about giving you what you need to go forward with confidence and power. It's also about seeing your situation from a third vantage - not yours and not mine - a bird's eye view that can reveal hidden information. I like to work on the basis of a well-phrased and focused question. If you don't arrive with one in mind, I will help you develop one. Some features of a situation may be beyond our control, but I always go in with the priority of finding your point of leverage.

In addition to my oracular functions, I am the Lodge Master of Oakland-based Temple Sophia, an independent Thelemic Temple with deep roots in Bay Area history. I also run a weekly Magical Study Group which has made quite a few armchair magicians into practitioners. I have been reading Tarot informally for more than 20 years; professionally for a few years. My most recent public gig was at the Winchester Mystery House. I like to take a candid approach and offer practical advice, focusing on empowering the querent to fulfill their goals.

I work with a hybrid deck, with the classic Pamela Colman Smith deck as its base. Other cards have volunteered themselves over time and become integrated with its body. The deck, which has received many consecrations, anointments, and infusions of life-force, and has answered many difficult questions, has been characterized as "brutally honest," and "harsh but effective."
